Mall of Asia Arena, Philippines.

Global youth summit to be held in conjunction with the Global Peace Convention 2017 is launching “GlobalYouth4SDGs”. A platform for the youth to share their best ideas to help communities.

Global youth summit talks a lot about how the youth can contribute theirselve in building the world better.

The formed of the event is international convience with the speaker from over the achievements.

  1. Ms .Anne Curtis Smith, is UNICEF celebrity Advocate. She advocates for equitable education and lifelong learning opportunities for all, emphasized on the importance of primary education and it being unanvailable to far-flung in the country. She calls on the attention of the youth appreciate the privilige of attending school.
  2. Aiza seguerra ( chair, National Youth Commision)

Is the chairperson and CEO of National Youth Comission (NYC) and a multi-awarded filipino actor and singer-songwriter.

The speech by using tagalog languange whcih said ” ang trabaho ay dilang basta trabaho nag nalalagay ng pagkain sa lamesa ”

The meaning is it is personal growth that should lead to job satisfaction and productive employment.

  1. Mrs. Vernice victorio is the commissioner for climate change . She’s the Head of the Phlilippine Delegation to the 22nd Conference of Parties (COP22) UN climate Change conference in Marrakech, Morocco.

Mrs. Vernice Victorio talks about the impact of Paris Agreement on Climate change to the Philippines. She shares climate change’s economic effect, as well as the importance of being proactive in taking care of our environment for the next generation.

  1. Ms. Karen Davila is a young Global Leader of World Economic Forum, a UNICEF Child Rights Award grand prize winner, and an award-winning broadcast journalist and producer.

Ms. Karen Davila tells us to use social media in addresing top issues and in educating ourselves with verified information from credible sources.

She also gave her tips on responsible and safe social media use.

  1. Ms. KC Cocepcion is a national Ambassador Againts Hunger of the World Food Programme.

She shares her experience as an ambassador for the World Food Programme, and remind us to be instruments in ending world hunger.

  1. Mr. Marco Roncarati argues us to keep a positive outlook on achieving no poverty in all its froms, and that incremental steps will someday lead to a big change.

That’s all the event.

Rito (her nickname) success becomes the delegation from Indonesia also bring Pekalongan Univeristy as her institution .

She follows several selections from 52.123 applicants of youth in different countries and the last selection submit the essay about education. She has been choseen with 15.000 young leaders from other country.

Her essay delivers her to be delegation Global Youth Summit, 2017 from Indonesia.

She also gets ticket VIP 2 in the event. She hopes she can share her experience and inspire other students to always try to catch the dreams come true. Especially for the students of English Departmen, Teacher’s training and education Faculty, Pekalongan University
